Newport County AFC’s brand new AI-powered fan engagement platform

We Build Bots fan engagement platform deployed in Newport County AFC

We are thrilled to work with local team Newport County AFC with the launch of their brand new fan engagement chatbot ‘Spytty the Bot’.

After announcing our fan engagement platform with the launch of AS ROMA’s fan engagement chatbot; Botistuta in October 2018 we are thrilled to now be working with a team close to our hearts and HQ.

After launching AGAME in Rome, we're now back on home turf working with Newport County AFC with their launch of ‘Spytty the Bot’;  Newport County’s brand new fan engagement chatbot which will go live Saturday 6th April during their match with Tranmere Rovers at Rodney Parade.

Spytty the Bot will be used to improve fan engagement and customer service, retrieving answers to commonly asked fan queries such as ‘who are we playing next game?’. With all things AI and machine learning, the more it’s used the more intelligent it gets so over time Spytty the Bot will get smarter and smarter. As well as customer interaction and FAQ’s, Spytty the Bot will also be used to run competitions as well as sell tickets and merchandise.

We have been working with We Build Bots, a local Welsh AI company, for a while on this project and feel that it will help improve engagement with supporters, as well as provide yet another way fans can find out particular information about the Club and the latest news at #NCAFC. As a lifelong fan, and ex Newport County Youth player, this project was more a labour of love than anything. We Build Bots are delighted to help Newport County drive efficiencies off the pitch through AI powered innovations, and we're chuffed that County now have another channel through which to engage the best fans in the world.Paul Shepherd, CEO at We Build Bots |
